String quartet to play
at senior communities
Thanks to a grant from the Ottawa County Community Foundation, the Musical Arts Series at Firelands will sponsor two concerts at Ottawa County senior residential communities on Saturday, Feb. 27. The goal is to make live, professional, musical entertainment accessible to seniors when the weather prevents many from going out.
Performances will be by the Firelands Symphony String Quartet at Riverview Health Care Campus, W. St. Rt. 163, Oak Harbor, at 1:30 p.m.; and at The Vineyard on Catawba, at 2:45 p.m. Brian Shifflet of Port Clinton is the cellist with the quartet.
Both concerts are free and open to the public as well as residents and their guests.
