Kindergarten Round-up
set for April 9 at Danbury
Kindergarten registration for Danbury students will be Friday, April 9, at Danbury Elementary School. Parents are asked to call the school between March 22 and March 26 to set up an appointment. You will be asked to provide the child's address and birth date and a phone number where the office can contact them should the need arise. Appointment times are 8:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., and 1:15 p.m. Please call 419-798-4081 to set up your appointment time.
Children will be screened in vision, language behaviors, hearing, motor development, concepts, self-help, and social skills. Parents will have an opportunity to meet many of the service personnel who will be guiding their children through the educational program. Registration will be done by appointment only and the process will take about 90 minutes.
Requirements
Parents bring with you to Round-Up -- Child to be enrolled, preferably dressed in comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Child's official birth certificate or baptismal certificate (with birth date) or hospital certificate. Child's immunization records. (The child's physical check-up may be done at any time before school starts. As soon as the physical exam is completed, send the form to the school.) Court papers determining custody of applicable. (If your child is not living with both mother and father listed on birth certificate, you must supple custody papers from court.) Name and address of daycare provider, where child will be picked up and dropped off for school within our district.
Kindergarten is now a requirement for entering first grade. Please note -- Kindergarten will be in session on this day for present students.
