New Marblehead police officer

Peter Bush was sworn in as Marblehead’s newest full-time police officer at the village council meeting held on Thursday, Jan. 14.

Bush was born in Wichita, Kansas, and moved to Fremont when he was five years old. He attended St. Joe for grade school and high school. After high school he enlisted in the Marine Corps for five years. Bush worked on the AV-8B Harrier jet as a mechanic while in the military.

After he was discharged from the military he enrolled at Terra Community College and started taking classes for the police science degree and completed the Police Academy at Terra as well. Bush worked one season with Cedar Point Police Department.

He has three brothers and one sister, and one of his brothers is a police officer in Wickliffe.

Bush said he likes to hunt, fish, golf, and watch Cleveland sports teams and the Buckeyes.
