Lakers finish the regular
season with Senior Night
On Saturday, Feb. 27, the Danbury Lakers lost to the Ottawa Hills Green Bears by a score of 48-40. It was the last regular season game for five senior players who played their final home game of their career. The five seniors included Rodney Johnson, Vincent Manuella, Tyler Boring, Nathan Hartman and Steven Feyedelem.
"The seniors had some very nice team and individual accomplishments during their careers," said Head Coach Joe Miller. "We wish them the very best in their post-basketball endeavors."
Hunter Stephens had a terrific game for the Lakers. He scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Lakers. Tyler Boring added nine points, four rebounds, and three blocked shots, while Vincent Manuella tallied four points, four assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Steven Feyedelem, Lucas Kennedy, and Dakota Hruby all scored two points apiece for Danbury.
The JV team was also defeated by Ottawa Hills by a score of 50-26. Brandon Burke had 12 points. Dalton Chapman had four points and five assists for the Lakers.
On Monday, Feb. 22, the Danbury Lakers lost to the Maumee Valley Hawks by a score of 46-40.
Hunter Stephens led the Laker attack with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler Boring contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, and seven blocked shots, while Vincent Manuella added eight points and five assists.
The JV team lost to Maumee Valley by a score of 50-38. Leading the way for the Lakers was Brandon Burke with 12 points and three rebounds. Dalton Chapman finished with 11 points. Dakota Hruby had nine points and five rebounds and Corey Schenk had six points and eight rebounds.
On Tuesday, Feb. 23, the Danbury Lakers lost to the Margaretta Polar Bears by a score of 48-30.
Hunter Stephens was the only Laker to hit double digits for Danbury. He scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds. Tyler Boring had six points, 10 rebounds, and three blocked shots, while Lucas Kennedy and Vincent Manuella each scored five points for the Lakers.
The Laker JV team was also defeated by Margaretta by a score of 49-16. Dalton Chapman had four points and four rebounds to lead Danbury.
