Lady Lakers lose to Northwood
On Friday, Jan. 29, the Danbury Lady Lakers lost at Northwood, 45-43, bringing their record over all to 7-8 and 4-4 in the league.
Christine Longer was the leading scorer for the Lakers with 14, Heather Bahnsen added 10 points.
"What really hurt us is going zero for 10 from behind the three point line, in most games we shoot around 30 percent from there and we missed everything from that distance even taking some great shots," said Coach Wicks. "Also, Northwood made five from some of them at key points in the game to keep them in it when it looked like we might start rolling."
The Lady Lakers shot well from the free throw line as a team making 81 percent of the shots from the charity stripe. With Christine Longer (four for four) and Tori England (three for three) perfect on the night.
