Danbury defeats Oak Harbor for 10th win of the season

The Danbury boys basketball team defeated the Oak Harbor Rockets by a score of 48-38 on Saturday, Feb. 20. The Lakers outscored the Rockets in the second quarter 19-10, which was the major difference in the outcome of the game.

Vincent Manuella led the Lakers with 14 points and four assists on the night. Hunter Stephens had another double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, while Sophomore Lucas Kennedy pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds for the Lakers.

Tyler Boring added eight points, five blocked shots, and three rebounds and Steven Feyedelem contributed six points and three assists. In addition to his 11 rebounds, Kennedy added four points and Nathan Hartman also tallied four points.

"It was a nice win," said Head Coach Joe Miller. "Not having Rodney Johnson caused us to re-shuffle our lineup, but the players did a good job filling their roles and being successful."

The Lakers overall record stands at 10-7 and their TAAC mark is 5-5.

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, the Lakers lost on the road to the Maumee Valley Hawks by a score of 57-37.

Vincent Manuella led the Laker attack with 13 points and two assists. Hunter Stephens tallied 11 points and eight rebounds while Tyler Boring contributed seven points and three rebounds for the Lakers.
