Lady Lakers lose to Ottawa Hills Lady Lakers award winners announced

The Danbury Lady Lakers lost to Ottawa Hills last Thursday night (Feb. 18) 58-35, at Ottawa Hills.

Leading scorers were Heather Bahnsen with 10 points and Tori England with nine points. Christine Longer led the team with seven rebounds and K.C. Oxendale had five.

The girls played Fremont St. Joe on Tuesday night (Feb. 16), in the second game of the Sectionals at Norwalk High School.

The following awards were won by the girls basketball team:

All TAAC -- First Team, Christine Longer; Second Team, Heather Bahnsen; and Honorable Mention, Tori England.

District VII -- Second Team, Christine Longer, and Honorable Mention, Heather Bahnsen.

All Academic District VII -- Heather Bahnsen and Brittany Isom.
